NARWHAL DREAMS: poems by the sea

The ocean has always had a profound effect on my soul. I feel it from the moment my nose smells the salt bristling the air. I feel it with all my senses. As soon as I see the horizon meeting the sea, as soon as I sink my toes in the sand or slip my feet in sea foam slippers… I know I am home. Sea, sky, sand and salt course through my veins and toss all cobwebs from my brain. I am centered. I can be me at the foot of the sea. Here within these pages I invite you to come dwell by the sea with me.

The Boy Who Talked to Trees

For many years the Darby family remained childless. However, this didn't stop them from cherishing every child they encountered. They knew that children were treasures from God, sent from heaven. Knowing that all parents sometimes had difficulty filling every need, Da and Ma Darby gave love to the unlovable, acceptance to the unappreciated, and provided for all children with needs. Every gift came from their heart, no strings attached. Then one day in February the Darbys were given their own precious bundle. A delightful and very unusual baby boy. Thus begins the story of The Boy Who Talked to Trees.
